FAMILY/PERSONAL HISTORY: Everyone knows about the first eighteen years of Hermione's life. Because of their adventures with the famous Harry Potter, the lives of his two best friends are now almost as well known. After the battle of Hogwarts Hermione went back to Hogwarts and finished her seventh year alongside her best friend, Ginny. She had to get all of her N.E.W.T.s, even if she probably could have passed them without the seventh year. Upon graduating she was offered a multitude of jobs, but she took some time off to write a memoir to Dobby.

"A Free Elf" was a piece of creative non-fiction that told the story of Dobby and how he came to aid Harry in his second year and became free. It told the tragic tale of the mistreatment of Winky by her owners, the way that Kreacher came around to lead an army of house elves against the Deatheater at Hogwarts, and how Dobby tagically was murdered saving herself, Ron, Luna, Dean, Ollivander, Griphook, and Harry Potter. It was an instant success and Hermione began publishing a series of articles on House Elf Rights in various magazines and newspapers. Her writings and Harry's support quickly started to shift the way wizards thought of their elf servants.

Hermione took a job after the book came out working at the Department of Magical Creatures. She is well respected in the department and has also branched out to make S.P.E.W a world wide organization with hundreds of members.

She continued to date Ron Weasley but after four years with no proposal and constant jealous fights about her friends (cough--Viktor--cough) they split up in February. Two of her best friends are Quidditch players so she takes in quite a lot of it.

PERSONALITY: Hermione is, as she has always been, very passionate. She thirsts for knowledge because she finds great comfort in it. Hermione has almost always been able to rely on books and clever observation to comfort her where she is insecure about her own abilities. The one thing that still makes the Gryffindor quite nervous is the prospect of her new marraige, where a book will give her little more than vague advice and can never really walk her through it.

Hermione has since become self conscious of the thin scar on her throat, no thicker than a pencil line. The scar, from being tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange, often raises questions that she feels uncomfortable answering. Hermione is extremely close with her parents since tracking them down in Australia and recovering their memories of her existance.
